Hello everyone! Welcome to my little corner of the world.

I haven’t a clue what I am doing here in Wordpress, so bear with me while I figure this sucker out.

I’ve started this blog so that you can follow along with me on my travel adventures this winter. Now, I am a spontaneous kind of Gal, so the itinerary is somewhat, oh , shall we say, flexible. Some might call it unpredictable. But that’s just how I roll.

I have a general clue of what I’ll be doing, but the details? Well, I am a bit of a get in the car and go person. There is nothing in this world like the open road, top down, wind in your hair and the tunes blasting. General direction established, but time frame? Unknown. Miles per day? Unknown.

The point is the journey, not the destination.

All I know is I’m taking my golf clubs, my guitar, my GPS, my notebook and my passport.

Should be a helluva trip. C’mon along for the ride ;-)

About Me

Well, this is daunting

I’m just me ;-)

This will be a work in progress I suppose…but then again, so am I.

If I had to describe myself ( which apparently, one must do on an about page), I suppose a list might be in order.

I haven’t made lists here before, being all of one day into this thing..here goes

I’m kind of dynamic, so this list changes a lot but:

Things that interest me.

  1. People. Being interested in people leads to all my other interests.
  2. Tech. Yup..a confirmed geekette.
  3. Music. I love my music. I play guitar ( poorly) and sing ( but dogs howl when I do so, so I only sing to myself) My tastes in music? Eclectic…good is good, genre doesn’t matter. Lean towards rock and roll and alt.
  4. Golf. I’m addicted. Golf has saved my life..there is a story there.
  5. Learning. I have a curious mind. Both literally and figuratively.
  6. Laughing. There is humour in everything. I mean everything.

Things I like to do

  1. Golf. If the sun is shining, I’m on the links
  2. Stumbling. Stumbleupon rocks. Most of the time. I get to laugh, I get to learn, and I get to meet people. Oh ya, and I can play mini-golf.
  3. Tell stories. I come from a long line of story tellers. My Dad used to call it “drinking whiskey and tellin lies” . The oral tradition of storytelling is a wonderful thing. Telling your tales is easy with an audience..you can gauge their reactions, you can pump up or tone down the story..you can do accents, and use gestures. I’ve only just begun to write these stories..it is an interesting exercise. You’ll soon figure out that I like to tell stories.
  4. Music. Play it, listen to it.. a constant companion

A few things you should know – or things you might figure out, if you read this blog

  1. I am decidedly not at the norm. I like it that way. I’ll let you figure out what that means.
  2. I am eclectic…I believe that is the polite way of describing “all over the map”
  3. I am a walking oxymoron..or just plain moron..take your pick. A mass of contradictions. Dynamic even. I am Serious/Silly. Deep Thinking/Ditzy. Mellow/Manic. Happy/Hopeless. Philosophical/Flippant. And, I am affected by an awful alliteration affliction.
  4. I am fond of the ellipsis…I write like I talk..so there are always…pauses.
  5. I am a free flow writer. That is a fancy term for “I just spew what comes outta my head”
