I told you about my new Garmin Navigation system system, and how slick it is.
But no matter how fancy, there is nothing like a old fashioned paper map to see the “big picture”
So I asked my friend to go down to the AMA ( motor club) pick up a few maps and the state “guidebooks” [...]

I spent some time with “Sheila” and the Garmin today..she is still patient, and still puts up with my penchant to mess with her waypoints ;-)

This little thing rocks.
Talk about mapping capabilities, all wrapped up in a sleek package.
Voice prompts,Speaks street names, Auto sort multiple destinations, Auto re-route (fast off-route and detour recalculation..thank you Sheila!) Choice of route setup (faster time, shorter distance, off road), Route avoidance (avoid highways, tolls etc.)..it even has pedestrian mode for when I’m walking around [...]

Throw some tech at me, show me a new toy, and I’m all over it. I even read the manuals.
Yup, a confirmed geekette. And damned proud of it.
